Who I am...
                           and how I work

I am a qualified integrative counsellor working with both individual adults and couples. I hold a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Counselling (FdA), a Certificate in Couples Counselling and am a registered member of The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I also have an Anatomy and Physiology Diploma with Holistic Therapy, and Reiki.

I am passionate about my work and have a wealth of valuable experience working in many different areas, such as depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, eating disorders, OCD and self harm, as well as personal growth, development and spirituality.

Preparing for Parenting
I have a special interest in working with people who are thinking about becoming parents in the future, who may be conflicted, anxious or fearful and would like to heal the impact of their own childhood before creating their own family.

I also work with new and growing families, dealing with difficulties such as feelings of isolation or rejection, postnatal depression, relationship breakdown, blended families and domestic abuse.

My theoretical approach is 'Integrative' which means I draw knowledge from 'Psychodynamic' theory, and the Humanisitic approach of 'Person-Centred' and 'Transpersonal' theory (see more in 'What is Counselling?'). This way of working enables me to be with each person in a unique way, aiming to meet each individuals needs.
