Counselling sessions are charged at £45 per 50 minute session for individuals, £35 for Counselling Students in training and £60 per 1 hour session for couples. Fees are payable on, or before, the day of the session by cash or bank transfer.
There will be no charge if more than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation is given. If a session is cancelled within 24 hours (including non-attendance due to illness or adverse weather conditions), an alternative appointment during the same week will be offered, if this cannot be arranged, the full fee will be charged.
All personal information disclosed during a session will be confidential, however, there are some exceptions:
Counsellors are required to have regular and on-going supervision, in line with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) code of ethics. Supervision is essential for reviewing and monitoring a therapist's work as well as an opportunity to gain new perspectives on the counselling process.
If there is cause for concern for your safety, or the safety of a significant other close to you, consultation may be sought with another professional, such as your GP, but in this unusual situation the matter will be discussed with you and a mutually agreeable way forward will be sought.
